What Do You Know About the Mormons?

Well maybe the first thing you might like to know - is that we really don't call ourselves Mormons - that was a nickname given to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by its enemies early in the church's history.

In a nut shell, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints purports to be the restored version of the very church Christ himself organized upon the earth over 2,000 years ago. Contrary to what some uninformed opponents of the church like to say, we do consider ourselves as Christians, in every sense of the word. We worship only God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. We are led by a living prophet, just as ancient Israel was in the Old Testament. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly and we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
